Welcome to Two Bad Cats, LLC.

Made in Vermont, inspired in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

One COLD day in 2007 I joined some friends skiing on Teton Pass, Wyoming.  It’s about a 30 minute drive from Jackson to the top of the pass.  When we got out of the car we were very excited to ski the ten inches of fresh snow.  My excitement turned ugly when I found that my boots were very cold, nearly impossible to put on, and never warmed up.  It was probably the most miserable day of skiing of my life (sorry Trav and Nick for likely making your day miserable too).  Since then I have vowed never to start the day with cold feet.  I tried many home heating methods with varying success since then.  In December 2008 we had an important breakthrough in materials that led to the Boot Plug and Boot Fruit boot warmers that you see today.  In January 2009 Two Bad Cats LLC was formed with the mission to make sure everybody’s boots are warm and easy to put on to start the day.

So where does the name come from?  In late 2008 I inherited two cats from a friend who was moving.  Moxie (AKA Slinky) is a grey short haired cat with a impressively sharp kneading habit.  Chaps (AKA Needles and The Cow)  is a white shorthaired cat with black spots who has an amazing ability to eat any quantity of food that you put in front of him.  As the cats and I have begun to understand each other they have become less “bad”. The name however, remained.  Unfortunatly Moxie passed away September 2010(car). Needles is still going strong. Thanks for reading about us.
